 Pleasance has been a senior HR strategic practitioner in the National Library, Trade NZ and the Department of Justice. In these roles, she had success in developing and operationalising strategic imperatives that have led to changes in the organisational cultures (e g transforming a culture of grievance into one with highly accountable, top functioning teams), lifting organisational performance (e g through the application of performance excellence principles) and harnessing the potential of all staff (eg through implementing EEO policies and practices). While she was General Manager of HR at Trade NZ, she had major responsibility for implementing the Baldrige Model for world-class organisations and contributed towards Trade NZ receiving a Silver Award. Pleasance takes a strengths-based approach, with a passion for working with people and groups to achieve excellence. She has a deep understanding of what constitutes ‘world class organisations’ and uses her learning design, workshop facilitation and management coaching skills to deliver significant shifts within teams and to produce high performing businesses. |
