If you’re looking to increase employee engagement, coach leaders, build people capability or drive a high-performance culture, you need the skills of someone who’s been down that road already. Someone like Abhi Gill.
During a six year-stint at George Weston Foods (GWF), Abhi managed all the different functional portfolios specializing in OD and HR. Most recently he helped lift employee engagement at two of the company’s South Auckland sites by 13% in just over a year. He’s helped develop and run various learning programs at all levels in the business including the in-house workplace literacy project which has positively impacted the business and 150+ staff since 2011. Abhi is skilled at embedding best-practice talent management and driving measurable business outcomes through people. His contributions to the company’s performance through people initiatives have earned him the Weston’s Best Annual Achievement award on two occasions along with the Highly Recommended Leader Award in 2015.
Abhi has also experienced life as an entrepreneur in a foreign culture, setting up and managing a successful furniture import business in India with his business partner. P&L financial management, market research and product procurement are part of his skill set, combined with a solid grasp of commercial realities.
“I believe in keeping a positive outlook with clear focus, while critically assessing my own performance to learn, grow and adapt.”
He brings this mindset to all the Learning Wave initiatives he delivers with our team.
