If you want to inspire learning in others, it pays to be a passionate lifelong learner yourself. Kate Bartholomew certainly lives by this philosophy. Along with a Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching Psychology, she’s acquired an impressive suite of skills – change management, coaching and end-to-end learning design, to name just a few. But what really stands out is her commitment to ongoing personal development.
In roles with Mercury, the Restaurant Association and Hillsong International Leadership College, she has tackled everything from the creation of e-learning modules to marketing and PR. One of her proudest achievements is raising course completion rates from 10% to 60% in one year, working to support beneficiaries in gaining employable skills. She also managed the rollout of a learning management system for 850 Mercury staff and 1,500 contractors. It’s fair to say that big, audacious goals don’t faze her.
